In the second half of May 2025, the halls of NTU “KhPI” hosted the XXXIII International Scientific and Practical Conference MicroCAD‑2025 — a large-scale event covering information technologies, engineering, education, medicine, the humanities, and social sciences. Despite the challenging conditions of military aggression, the opening of the conference on May 14 took place at a high level, featuring presentations from leading scholars, including Yuriy Hohoshi from Drexel University, Academicians Ihor Kryvtsun and Serhii Akhonin, as well as the Rector of KhPI, Yevhen Sokol.
The conference continued through May 17 and included 29 thematic sections, covering energy, electronics, international business, medical sciences, national security, economics and finance — including accounting and financial topics. More than 3,500 researchers took part in the forum — including professors, postgraduate students, and undergraduates from Ukraine and abroad.
Golden Moments of the Department’s Participation
Postgraduate students of the Department of Accounting and Finance presented the results of their research in sections related to economics, management, and business.
Faculty members of the department delivered presentations focused on modern methods of accounting, financial analysis, and ensuring the financial efficiency of enterprises.
Representatives of the department also participated in interdisciplinary panels, sharing experiences with colleagues from Poland, Germany, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Malaysia, and others — the conference was held with the support of leading European universities.
Significance for the Department and the University
Participation in MicroCAD‑2025 became an important impetus for the development of the scientific and educational activities of the department:

International cooperation was strengthened through networking with colleagues from the EU and the USA.

The research agenda of postgraduate students in the field of financial analysis and accounting was expanded.

New ideas were obtained regarding the implementation of digital accounting systems and the automation of analytics.
