Educational Process. Organizational Principles

The educational process at the University is carried out in accordance with  the Regulations on the Organization of the Educational Process taking into account the following documents: the University’s Educational Activity Concept; the Regulations on the Academic Council of the University;  the University’s Strategic Development Plan;  the Program of Measures to Ensure the Quality of Education at the University;  the University’s Internal Code of Conduct; the University’s Code of Ethics  та  and other documents regulating the activities of the University.

The educational process is organized by the University’s academic departments based on educational programs (educational-professional and educational-scientific), curricula, and with the active participation of higher education students in shaping individual learning paths and personal study plans, selecting academic disciplines, improving practical training, and enhancing the role of independent creative work.

Educational activities at NTU “KhPI” are based on the following principles:

University autonomy in making independent decisions regarding the organization of the educational process, determining its forms, and selecting teaching methods and approaches;
Student-centered learning;
Academic freedom;
Academic integrity;
Scientific and innovative approaches;
Democracy, partnership, and social responsibility of all participants in the educational process;
Accessibility of higher education and equal opportunities for all;
Promotion of lifelong learning;
Quality assurance in higher education and educational activities

The goal of the University’s educational activity is to train highly qualified and competitive specialists at all levels of higher education, capable of creating modern scientific knowledge and innovative technologies for the benefit of humanity. These specialists are prepared to work in enterprises of all forms of ownership, scientific and educational institutions, as well as public authorities and administrative bodies. The University also aims to create conditions for the realization of personal potential and the development of individuals’ creative abilities.

The language of the educational process (instruction and assessment) at the University is the state language—Ukrainian. The use of foreign languages in the educational process is carried out in accordance with applicable legislation.

The University provides higher education students with access to classrooms, the library, educational, instructional, and scientific literature, equipment, facilities, and other learning resources under the conditions defined by  the University’s Internal Code of Conduct.

Student Research Clubs

Student research clubs at the University provide a platform for motivated students to engage in scientific inquiry, collaborate on research projects, and develop their academic and professional skills. These clubs operate under the guidance of faculty members and offer opportunities to participate in conferences, publish research findings, and contribute to innovative developments in various fields of study.

Student research clubs in biotechnology at the University offer an engaging environment for students to explore cutting-edge topics in molecular biology, genetic engineering, bioinformatics, and industrial biotechnology. Under the mentorship of experienced faculty, students participate in scientific projects, laboratory research, and academic discussions. The clubs encourage active involvement in scientific conferences, publication of research results, and the development of innovative biotechnological solutions aimed at improving healthcare, agriculture, and environmental sustainability.
