Journal “Electrotechnics and Electromechanics”
The journal “Electrotechnics and Electromechanics” was founded in 2002 by the prominent electrical engineering scientist Boris Volodymyrovych Klymenko, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Electrical Apparatus at NTU “KhPI” (1995–2004, 2012–2019), who also served as its first Editor-in-Chief.

In 2015, the journal was included in the Web of Science™ Core Collection.

In 2018, it was included in the List of Scientific Professional Publications of Ukraine in Technical Sciences, assigned the highest category “A” (Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 1412 dated 18.12.2018).

Since 2019, the journal “Electrotechnics and Electromechanics” has been indexed in Scopus, and since 2023 it is ranked in the prestigious third quartile (Q3) of Scopus and Web of Science.

Journal “NTU KhPI Bulletin”
The Department of Electrical Devises publishes twice a year the journal NTU KhPI Bulletin, Series: Problems of Improvement of Electrical Machines and Apparatus. Theory and Practice, which is indexed in international scientometric databases.

International Symposium SIEMA
Every October, the Department organizes the two-day International Symposium SIEMA – “Problems of Electric Power, Electrical Engineering, and Electromechanics”.
- Day 1: Plenary session with reports from leading scientists of European and international research centers on fundamental and applied research in electric power, electrical engineering, and electromechanics.
- Day 2: Work is carried out in seven sections:
- Theoretical Electrical Engineering
- Problems of Theory and Practice of Electrical Machines
- Problems of Theory and Practice of Electrical Apparatus
- Strong Electrical and Magnetic Fields
- Electrical Insulation, Cable, and Fiber Optic Technology
- Power Transmission, Automation, and Cybersecurity of Energy Systems
- Electrical Transport
