Copernicus Stipendium

COPERNICUS is an association for the promotion of Eastern, Central European, North African and Central Asian students. Every semester, students are invited to Hamburg with a scholarship.

Here the students take part in teaching at the University of Hamburg for one semester and then complete a two- to three-month internship in a company, organization or authority. Accommodation is mainly in host families.

With its scholarship program, COPERNICUS pursues the goal of promoting the education of qualified East, Central and Southeast European as well as Central Asian and North African students. In addition, this program is intended to contribute to intensifying personal contacts between the states from the above-mentioned regions and Germany. At least on a small scale, COPERNICUS wants to create an exchange forum between Germans and students from abroad. Ultimately, COPERNICUS is intended to contribute to the development, stabilization and democratization in post-communist and North African countries.

Deadline: March 1st for the following winter semester (program start October 1st).
