On November 18, 2024, the Institute of Energy, Electronics, and Electromechanics impressed with a new format for its Open Day. Instead of inviting students to visit, the institute traveled to Chuhuiv with an outreach event titled “Energy Tech: Your Gateway to the Future.”
The event showcased five of the institute’s specialties along with their corresponding educational programs. Among them, the Department of Electric Transport and Diesel Locomotive Engineering drew particular attention with its presentation of:
– 141 Electrical Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Electromechanics (educational program: “Electromechanics,” elective block: “Electric Transport”);
– 273 Railway Transport (educational program: “Locomotives and Locomotive Engineering”).
Visitors were especially fascinated by the interactive STEM zone, where students could:
– generate electricity using a generator;
– observe the phenomenon of levitation;
– operate a traction motor and much more.
The event also featured a prize raffle, rewarding the most active participants with gifts. All attendees unanimously praised the event’s success and its engaging format.
“This is truly a gateway to the future!” shared one of the students enthusiastically.
