On December 5-6, 2024, staff and postgraduate students of the department, together with specialists from LLC “Mykolaiv Locomotive Repair Plant,” participated in the 2nd International Scientific and Technical Conference “Progressive Transport Technologies,” held at UkrDUZT (Kharkiv).
The researchers’ presentation, titled “Determination of the Wheelset Drive Type for Traction Rolling Stock of Industrial Quarry Railways,” focused on identifying the optimal type of wheelset drive for traction rolling stock equipped with electric drives used in industrial quarry railways.
The study analyzed various types of locomotive wheelset drives, examined their applications in traction rolling stock, and demonstrated the feasibility of using group drives for wheelsets in traction rolling stock employed in industrial railway transport.
