Topics of research works:
- technology for purification of fats from related substances (solves the problem of reducing energy consumption and waste during fat refining);
- new technology of sunflower seed shredding, production of food meal and its use as a substitute for animal proteins (will contribute to solving the problem of rational nutrition of the population of Ukraine, namely, eliminate protein deficiency);
- use of ethyl alcohol as a solvent in oil extraction technology;
- enzyme technologies for modifying fats (will significantly reduce energy consumption and waste during fat processing, produce fats with certain properties, and free Ukraine from imports of confectionery fats);
- technology of fat products for functional purposes (creating products that do not contribute to the resynthesis of fat in the human body and largely solve the problem of losing excess weight);
- technology of fatty acid ethyl esters as diesel fuel (the problem of creating diesel fuel based on renewable raw materials and using ethyl alcohol under the State Programme ‘Ethanol’ is being solved);
- research of biologically active compounds and development of new products with therapeutic and prophylactic properties based on them;
- antioxidants from plant materials in the technology of beer with increased physiological value;
functional foods based on germinated cereal grains; - surfactants and other substances based on renewable raw materials (fats) and their use in the food and other industries; reducing the oxidation of oils and fats, extending their shelf life, and ensuring the environmental friendliness of fat-containing products.
