● complex processing of weakly metamorphosed coal with the production of hydrocarbons as a raw material for organic synthesis;
● increasing the level of skilled use of oil;
● introduction into the educational process of disciplines corresponding to modern achievements and requirements of perspective development of coal chemical science and practical use of combustible minerals;

● increasing the efficiency of road transport;
● development of new methods for diagnosing the quality of lubricants;
● improvement of the system of maintenance of the car fleet of motor transport enterprises;

● development of automation systems for chemical production;
● determination of the quality of coke samples enriched with inorganic impurities;

● research in the field of production of carbon graphite materials;
● development of new methods for diagnosing the quality of fuels, lubricating oils, oils;
● technology for obtaining activated carbon;

● development of methods for predicting the quality of blast furnace coke and the yield of chemical coking products;
● selection of rational schemes for preparation of coal charges at domestic coke plants;

● research in the field of isolation of polycyclic hydrocarbons of coal tar and synthesis on their basis of compounds with useful consumer properties;

● thermochemical technologies for obtaining substitutes for oil and natural gas refining products from coal (thermolysis, gasification, semi-coking);
● new coking technologies (without capturing chemical products, molded coke);
