Ensuring sustainable use of agricultural waste, co-products and by-products: WASTE-7-2015

Institute of Animal Science of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine        (IAS NAASU) has 90 years of experience in research and development of technologies in livestock production and 50 years of experience in research and development of technologies of preparation sinks for use.

IAS NAASU team includes experts from a number of areas — mechanization and electrification of production processes in agricultural production, livestock products, three doctors and four candidates of sciences with experience in realization of international projects.

Experience includes technology and technical means of processing wastes, agricultural — animal wastes in industrial production of animal products, the implementation of such technology and many years of experience of its usage in a production environment.

The Institute can offer a variety of services during the period of the project realization, such as a place to test new technologies and animal products, demonstration activities, implementation piloted industrial installations and qualified scientists and engineers in the field of livestock products and in particular the treatment of manure and other wastes in the field of energy production from manure and other waste water, quality assessment of products of animal origin in the laboratory as part of the Test Center, accredited in accordance with international requirements DSTU ISO / IEC 17025: 2006, and as the base organization of metrological service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine.

The main objective is to develop a resource-saving technology and equipment to produce energy from manure in order to obtain environmental, economic, competitive capacity benefits for the agricultural sector — the development of new processes to improve resource efficiency by reducing wastes and improving waste management in primary production.

For the current call: IAS NAASU developed approaches to reduce capital investments to generate energy from manure in the industrial production of pork and was happy to work as a member of the project management of manure management in the industrial production of pork using sources of energy and fertilizers to reduce capital investments in such technologies — 25-35%. Practical use of the development will provide cost savings of resources and environmental pollution, and in particular — the greenhouse gas emissions that has not only economic but social importance for the national economy.

With commercialization, the results of the implementation of such a project, IAS NAASU is ready to perform such actions: developing of the necessary equipment, its manufacture, installation, commissioning, training and commissioning.

Our experience: Development and implementation of resource-saving technologies of cleaning and preparation of waste-to-use, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, protection of the environment in the industrial production of pork.

Description of the requirements to cooperate:

We are looking for project coordinators and / or partners who have experience and expertise in the management of the consortium and nomination of projects. Partners must be ready to develop new energy saving technologies and equipment that will be innovative and effective in the production of biogas from manure and other wastes.

Experience: designing and explanation for resource-saving technologies of cleaning and preparation of waste-to-use, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, protection of the environment in the industrial production of pork.

What we look for: project coordinators, project participants.
