NTU «KhPI» Preparatory courses
NTU “KhPI” offers entrance preparation for applicants for bachelor’s degrees and for 4th-year graduates for master’s degrees, masters and specialists for postgraduate studies, and also conducts career guidance activities for schoolchildren.
Preparation for NMT
For those entering the bachelor’s level, the university offers preparatory classes that will provide the knowledge necessary to successfully pass the National Multi-Subject Test (NMT). In addition, graduates of the preparatory courses of NTU “KhPI” have the opportunity to take internal exams and receive up to +10 points to their competitive score upon admission.
The preparatory courses operate entirely online, and recordings of missed classes are always available in the cloud.
Professional teachers provide training in all subjects:
– Ukrainian language;
– mathematics;
– history of Ukraine;
– English;
– physics;
– chemistry;
– biology;
– geography.
Preparation for the UEE
The Unified Entrance Examination (UEE) for the Master’s degree has two components:
– General Academic Competencies Test (GACT);
– Foreign Language Exam.
Preparation for the GACT includes practical recommendations for passing the tests in sections: critical reading, analytical writing, communication and mediation, logical-analytical component.
Preparation for the foreign language exam includes the following sections:
– reading (the applicant must understand the read text, separate key information, summarize the content of what has been read, draw conclusions based on what has been read);
– language use (analyze and compare information, correctly use lexical units and grammatical structures, establish logical connections between parts of the text);
– grammatical inventory (parts of speech, types of sentences, direct and indirect speech, word formation).
The program of preparatory courses fully meets the requirements of the GEA. Preparation for the Foreign Language Entrance Examination is conducted by experienced university teachers who have many years of experience in preparing students for entry into a master’s degree program.
