Scholarships
A scholarship is not only material support, but also recognition of academic achievements, active civic position and social responsibility of a student. Our university operates a transparent and structured scholarship awarding system, which includes academic, social, personal and special types of scholarships.
The purpose of scholarship provision is to stimulate high results in studies, science, art, sports, participation in public life, as well as to provide support to those who find themselves in difficult life circumstances.
Types of scholarships
Academic scholarship. It is awarded to full-time students who study on a budget basis and demonstrate high results according to the results of semester control. The size of the scholarship depends on the specialty and the presence of additional achievements.
Social scholarship. It is awarded to students who are entitled to benefits in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine:
– orphans or children deprived of parental care;
– children from low-income families;
– children of combatants;
– students with disabilities, etc.
The social scholarship is assigned on the basis of the submitted package of documents confirming the relevant status.
Named and personal scholarships. They are awarded for special achievements in education, scientific, research or public activities. These include:
– Scholarship of the President of Ukraine;
– Scholarship of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine;
– Scholarships named after famous figures of science, culture, art;
– Scholarships of the regional state administration and other state institutions;
– Scholarships from foundations, benefactors, international organizations.
Scholarship assignment procedure
The process of assigning scholarships is based on openness, objectivity and compliance with the requirements of regulatory acts. Main stages:
- Formation of the success rating. Based on the results of the session, a rating list of students of each course and specialty is formed. The average score, academic performance and, if necessary, additional criteria are taken into account.
- Approval of the scholarship committee. The university has a scholarship committee that considers candidates for scholarship awards. It includes representatives of the administration, teachers, and students.
- Submission of documents. For a social scholarship or other benefits, a student submits a full package of documents to the dean’s office or the responsible department. The list of documents depends on the type of scholarship and individual circumstances.
- Publication of results. Information about the award of scholarships is published on the official channels of the university.
Key principles of scholarship policy
Transparency and fairness. Scholarships are awarded exclusively based on study results and documented grounds.
Accessibility. Every student can familiarize themselves with the criteria for awarding scholarships and receive advice from the dean’s office or the Student Support Center.
Development support. Scholarships stimulate not only academic success, but also comprehensive personal development.
How to increase your chances of receiving a scholarship
– Study without academic debt and have high grades.
– Actively participate in scientific competitions, conferences, student projects.
– Engage in community activities, participate in the work of student organizations.
– Submit documents on time and seek clarifications if necessary.
