International activities

Since the 1990s, the staff of the ITPA department have actively participated in international scientific projects and grants, regularly spoke at conferences abroad, and underwent scientific, pedagogical, and industrial internships at the best universities in Europe and at world-renowned enterprises.

Today, students can also join such activities: for them, the university operates international credit mobility programs, exchange studies, double degree programs, industrial practices, trainings, internships, and other types of cooperation with higher education institutions and companies in the countries of the European Union.

Professor Kapustenko Petro Oleksiyovych,

Candidate of Technical Sciences, Assoc. Prof.

Of the department’s staff, Prof. Petro Alekseevich Kapustenko is the most actively involved in international cooperation. He annually delivers no less than five to seven in-person reports at scientific and practical conferences in various foreign institutions.

It is difficult to find a large and developed country where Petro Alekseevich has not yet visited for scientific purposes. Below on this page, only a few of his certificates are presented, and only for the last two years, because otherwise there would be no room for other teachers and students.

Professor Ryabova Iryna Borysivna,

Candidate of Technical Sciences, Assoc. Prof.

The long-time deputy head of the department for educational and methodological work, Prof. Iryna Borysivna Ryabova, also has considerable experience in participating in international scientific and practical conferences, forums, trainings and seminars. She has repeatedly participated in international scientific grant projects and has been on internships in related business trips to different countries more than a dozen times.

As a true woman, Iryna Borysivna prefers to take photographs not in dark lecture halls and boring auditoriums of famous universities, but against the backdrop of magnificent European architecture and city landscapes.

Havenko Lizaveta Ruslanivna, KhT-M121k

Among the students, the most active was Lizaveta Ruslanivna Havenko, who during her studies at the university managed to go to Germany three times for exchange and double degree studies (2019-2020 and 2021-2022; 2020-2021), having received grant funding there. Moreover, having graduated from the ITPA department with a diploma with honors, as of the 2024-2025 academic year, Liza is still studying (!!!) at Magdeburg University, fully mastering her second specialty – electrical engineering and energy saving in industrial networks.

The vast experience of studying at the Otto von Guericke University of Magdeburg (OVGU), which has long since actually exceeded the terms of study at NTU “KhPI”, allowed Liza to form life priorities, get acquainted with European teaching methods, master practical skills and simply spend her youth actively and with benefit for her career. Today, Lizaveta already works in parallel with her studies, but continues to actively combine her extracurricular life with interesting leisure activities: recording music videos and shooting her own dances and humorous videos for social networks – including directly on the OVGU campus, in front of the university building, in its corridors and classrooms. In the photo gallery on the left you can see several bright moments from the present of Liza and other Ukrainian students.

Skrypnyk Viktoria Anatoliivna, KhT-M122k

Another student of our department – Viktoriya Anatoliivna Skrypnyk – in the 2021-2022 academic year, by special invitation, was able to get to the city of Laage, Germany for an internship. In difficult conditions, being far from her family, Vika learned about the beginning of a full-scale war, but made every effort to adequately complete her practical course, and later write and defend her bachelor’s thesis with an excellent grade.
