The international activity of the department is carried out as follows: international education (training of international students) and international cooperation.

The department teaches the disciplines “Language of professional training (Ukrainian)”, “Language of professional training (English)” for students of the pre-university ttaining.

The teachers of the department are developing distance courses in Ukrainian and English, which will help potential students start studying in their homeland.

The specificity of the work of the department is reflected in a wide range of international links. Over the years, trainees from the USA, Germany, Austria, Great Britain, Greece, Spain, Italy, Korea, and other countries were trained at the department. For 25 years, in accordance with the Agreement between NTU KhPI and the Institute of Slavic Studies of the University of Klagenfurt, a summer language school worked at the department. The department also conducted summer language courses with students of Eisenstadt University (Austria), Iowa University (USA), and Istanbul Aydin University (Turkey).

The teachers of the department actively participate in international conferences, make presentations, publish scientific articles in specialized publications, which are indexed in the international scientometric databases “Scopus” and “Web of Science”, in the international scientometric database for social sciences and the humanities “Copernicus”.
