International contacts

The department constantly carries on cooperation with leading scientists and leading departments of hoisting and transportation machines of Russian Federation (Bauman MVTU, Moscow, the departments of HTM of St Petersburg and Yekaterinburg polytechnic universities).

In recent years there is a pronounced tendency of broadening cooperation with world research centers in crane-building, especially in Germany.

  • Magdeburg University named after Otto von Gerike – the department of hoisting and transportation machines, steel constructions, and logistics (IML). Contacts since 1956.

During this time the following personnel have had field training at Magdeburg University: prof., tech. sc. Doct. Gaidamaka V.F., prof., tech. sc. Doct. Zhermunskiy B.I., associate prof., cand. of tech.sc. Losyev P.G., associate prof., cand. of tech.sc. Pashkina S.A., associate prof., cand. of tech.sc. Tomaryev V.A., associate prof., cand. of tech.sc. Ofiy V.V., prof., cand. of tech.sc. Petrenko N.A., prof., tech. sc. Doct. Grigorov O.V.

Since 1998 contacts with Magdeburg University has broadened dramatically. Thus, for instance, to Magdeburg University was sent student Kaverinskiy S.O. for inclusive study. In September 2002 he successfully presented his dissertation in Magdeburg for attaining the scientific grade of doctor-engineer. The graduates of our department assistant lecturers Smolyaninov D.V. (presented dissertation in Germany in 2006), Nadtochiy V.A., and engineer Chmyr M.Y. have passed postgraduate study at Magdeburg University. Our university students Borzyh V.A., Gubina O.V., and Ofiy Y.V. have had field training at Magdeburg University to obtain diplomas of German engineers.

The department of HM&E has agreement as to creative cooperation with Magdeburg University.

In 1998 the head of HM&E department prof., tech. sc. Doct. Grigorov O.V. won the DAAD Foundation contest and passed a 2-months training at Magdeburg University.
In 1999 he won the Saxony land contest and passed training at Dresden technical university.
In 2000 he won the DFG Foundation contest at Magdeburg University.
In 2001 – 2002 associate professors Ofiy V.V. and Petrenko N.A. passed training at Magdeburg University.

Prof., tech. sc. Doct. Grigorov O.V. takes part in scientific conferences held in Magdeburg, Dresden, Dortmund.

German scientists from Magdeburg University take part and deliver reports at NTU “KhPI”. This was in 1993, 2000, 2002. The head of IML department of Magdeburg University prof., tech. sc. Doct. Friedrich Krause has been elected Honorary Doctor of NTU “KhPI” and academician of the Ukrainian Hoisting and transportation Academy of sciences. At present, at the company FAM via IML department there work 10 engineers of HM&E department of NTU “KhPI” on the permanent basis.

  • Company FAM, Magdeburg (Hoisting and transportation equipment of Magdeburg). Contacts since 1998.

During this period there have passed and are passing training assistant lecturers Ohrimenko O.V., Lavinskiy O.A., engineers Petruk O.V., Guriev O.V., and doctor-engineer Kaverinskiy S.O.

  • Dresden Technical University, dept. of hoisting and transportation, construction machines, and logistics (IFBL). Contacts since 1967.

In 1967 post-graduate Styopochkin L.M. passed a year training course, and later on presented his dissertation.
In 1999 prof., tech. sc. Doct. Grigorov O.V. won the Saxony Ministry of Science and Arts contest and passed a 2-months training at Dresden Technical University.

There is an agreement with Dresden Technical University as to creative cooperation.

In 2014 student Pryhodko B.I. went for inclusive study there.

The head of IFBL department prof., tech. sc. Doct. Markward Ch.G. has been elected academician of the Ukrainian Hoisting and transportation Academy of sciences.

  • Dortmund University. The department of materials circulation and logistics (IML). Contacts since 1993.

Prof., tech. sc. Doct. Grigorov O.V. took part in conferences held at Dortmund University on HTM in 1993, 1994, 1997, 1998.

Prof., cand. of tech.sc. Kovalenko V.A. passed a 3-months training at Dortmund University in 1997.

The head of IML dept. prof., tech. sc. Doct. Uneman has been elected academician of the Ukrainian Hoisting and transportation Academy of sciences.

  • Bochum University. Contacts since 1985.

In 1985 – 1986 associated professor, cand. of tech.sc. Kovalenko V.A. passed a 10-months training from A. Gumbold Foundation.
In 1988 – 1989 associated professor, cand. of tech.sc. Kovalenko V.A. passed a 6-months training from Herz Foundation.

  • Gerhard-Mercator University of Duisburg.

Since 1999 till 2006 HM&E dept. student Kovalenko O.V. studied there and graduated in 2008.

The department of HM&E is an initiator of creating the German technical department at NTUKhPI“.

The department has taken part in all scientific conferences on HM in the united Germany since 1991.

Cooperation with German colleagues enables the department to be level with modern world requirements both in the area of science and that of education. Thus, for instance, in the field of optimum HM operation and at organizing such new courses as “Logistics”, “Mechatronics”, “HM management and marketing”.

  • Mishcholz University.

The department counts more than 30 years of cooperation with such renown coordination centers in HM as Mishcholz University (Hungary) where both teachers and students of the department pass their training.

  • Petroshani University.

In recent years there have been broadened contacts with Petroshani Technical University (Romania) where department teachers have their training.
In 2002 there was signed an agreement between the NTU “KhPI” HM&E department and Petroshani Technical University as to inter-university cooperation. During this time the department personnel prof. Grigorov O.V., prof. Petrenko N.A., associated prof. Ofiy V.V. have visited this university as students’ groups leaders counting 10 students. Professor Grigorov O.V. has been elected Honorary Doctor of Petroshani University.

  • Krakow Polytechnic named after Tadeush Kostiushka.

NTU «KhPI» has been actively cooperating with Krakow Polytechnic named after Tadeush Kostiushka (Krakow, Poland). In accordance with the work program of the agreement on partnership there is annual students exchange for their passing training.
