Tryshevskyi Oleh Ihorovych, Professor of Department, Doctor of Engineering Sciences, Professor.
   He was born in 1946 in Zaporozhye. In 1970 he graduated with honors from Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute with a degree in “Machines and technology of metal forming”.

   During 1970-1996 he worked as a junior researcher, senior researcher, group leader, head of the laboratory of high hardness profiles, chief engineer – deputy director of the Institute for Scientific Work at the Ukrainian State Research Institute of Metals (Kharkiv).

   From 1996 to 1996 he worked as the head of the department, scientific secretary, deputy director of the Institute of Machines and Systems.

   In 1997-1999 he worked as a scientific secretary, head of the scientific and technical department, secretary of the Board of the State Center of the Insurance Fund of Documentation of Ukraine.

   In the period 1999-2001 he studied for a doctorate course at the Kharkiv National Technical University of Agriculture. In 2001 he successfully defended his doctoral thesis and since then he has been working as a professor of structural materials technology department at the same university.

   Since 2004 he has been teaching at the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”.

   According to the results of the performed researches, for the first time in the world practice a specialized unit 1-5×300-1650 was created. The assortment mastered by his participation on the unit makes more than 100 highly effective profiles of high hardness. The total volume of production of profiles on the unit exceeds 3.5 million tons, their use in the construction of modern machines and structures has saved more than 80 thousand tons of metal. Developments of Tryshevskyi O.I. repeatedly demonstrated at exhibitions, awarded the 1st degree Diploma, gold, silver and two bronze medals.

   He has published more than 200 scientific papers. He is an author of 66 inventions, 7 of which were implemented into production with actual economic effect, 4 patents (USA, Canada). For invention works prof. Trishevsky O.I. was awarded by the badge of honor “Inventor of the USSR”.

Kuzmenko Viktor Ivanovych, Professor of Department, Candidate of Engineering Sciences, Associate Professor

He was born in 1945 in Yaroslavl. In 1964 he graduated with honors from the Kryukiv Machine-Building Technical School. During 1965-1967 he served in the army. During 1967-1974 he studied at the Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute and received the qualification of an engineer.
During 1975-1977 he was a design engineer and technological engineer of the department of chief technologist of Kremenchug Automobile Plant. In 1977 he entered the postgraduate course of Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute.
In 1983 he defended his dissertation on “Research and optimization of the process of cold extrusion of parts with conical elements” and received the degree of candidate of engineering sciences. He worked as a senior researcher at the department, senior lecturer, associate professor. In 1990 he was awarded the academic title of associate professor. In 2003 he was awarded the academic title of professor.
Now Kuzmenko V.I. is a professor at the Department of Computer Modeling and Integrated Forming Technologies of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Mechanical Engineering and Transport of the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”.
He has published more than 100 scientific papers in the field of cold extrusion, research of metal forming processes, technology development and design of technological equipment, friction in metal processing. He is an author of 10 inventions.

Plesnetsov Yury Alexandrovich, Professor of Department, Candidate of Engineering Sciences
He was born on August 22, 1951 in Berezniki, Perm Region. In 1974 he graduated with honors from the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Machinery and Technology of Metal Forming. From 1974 to 1976 – officer of the Armed Forces of the USSR.

From 1976 to 1996 he worked as a junior researcher, senior researcher, leading researcher, head of the laboratory of high stiffness profiles at the Ukrainian State Research Institute of Metals.

From 1996 to 1999 he worked as a department head, scientific secretary, deputy director of the Institute of Machines and Systems. Since 1999 he has been teaching at the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”.

Head of the Department of Metal Forming (2006-2018).

He published 160 scientific papers in the field of plastic deformation of metals, improvement and scientific substantiation of the theoretical aspects of one of the most important technological processes for the production of bent profiles for the machine-building complex. The results obtained made it possible to organize the production of such fundamentally new types of metal products with special service properties: high rigidity profiles, with expanded metal anti-skid elements, protective and decorative coatings. The developments were awarded medals. Author of 48 inventions and 2 patents (USA, Canada). In 1985 he was awarded the title “Inventor of the USSR”.

Kovorotny Timofey Leonidovich, assistant of Department
He was born on August 20, 1982 in the city of Orsk, Ural Region. In 1999, he entered the NTU “KhPI” on the specialty “Formation of metals”. Since 2003, the head of the group, in the same year, for success in studying sports and social life of the institute, was awarded a scholarship of the President of Ukraine. During his studies, he took part in: the All-Ukrainian Olympiad on “Theory of Machines and Mechanisms” (Zaporozhye, 2002) was awarded a diploma for the originality of the solution, the All-Ukrainian Olympiad on “Metal Forming” – 3rd place (Kyiv, 2004). 2003 – 2005 part-time worked in the production company “MEKAP”. As a design engineer, he was engaged in the development of technology for the manufacture of roll-formed profiles and equipment for their production. In 2005 he defended his master’s degree with honors. In 2005, he entered graduate course. Topic of PhD thesis “Research and production of technology for the production of special bent profiles from aluminum alloys”.

Author of more than 10 scientific publications. He has the following certificates in CAD systems with the right to teach: KOMPAS-3D, ProEngineer, Dform. Since 2011, he has been teaching CAD for technological processes in metal forming at the Department. Since 2008 he has been working at the department as a lecturer.

Hobby

Sports tourism. Participant of the cycling trip 6 level (Tien Shan, August 2006), leader of the cycling trip 3 level (Karpaty, June 2006), led hikes in the Crimea, Kharkiv region. Participated in many kayak trips.

Danilenko Viktor Yakovlevich, Associate Professor of Department, Candidate of Engineering Sciences
He was born on October 3 in Kharkov. He graduated from the Kharkov Polytechnic Institute in 1968 and stayed to work at the Department of Metal Forming of KhPI as an engineer and then head of the laboratory. He has been teaching at KhPI since 1977. He was deputy dean of the Faculty of Mechanics and Metallurgy and director of the pilot plant at NTU “KhPI”. In 1976 he defended his thesis. The work was carried out in the field, research of friction during cold extrusion. He was engaged in the development of extrusion of parts of hydraulic pumps, in particular bimetallic plungers. Works in this area were awarded with the medal. He has published more than 30 scientific papers in the field of cold extrusion. Author of patents of the USSR, USA.

Levchenko Vladimir Nikolaevich, Associate Professor of Department, Candidate of Engineering Sciences
He was born on May 24, 1971 in Kharkov. In 1988 he entered the Kharkov Polytechnic Institute. In 1994, he graduated with honors from the Institute with a degree in Machinery and Technology of Metal Forming. Worked at the Ukrainian State Institute of Metals. In November 1994, he entered graduate course at the Department of Metal Forming. The title of thesis is “Improving the technology of sheet stamping of axisymmetric parts based on the development of mathematical models of the processes of bending”. In 2001 he defended his PhD thesis. Since 1997 he has been an assistant, since 2002 he has been an associate professor at the Department of Metal Forming. Published 110 scientific papers on the theory of sheet and die forging.
