Magistracy Students of the Department Won the First and the Third Place at the 15th Regional Business Plan Competition

The final of the regional round of the 15th Ukrainian Business Plan Competition of Entrepreneurship Activity among Youth was held on Tuesday, June 25th, 2013. The competition final was traditionally held at the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” which has been one of three organizers of the regional round of Ukrainian Business Plan Competition for 11 years already, since 2003. The Department of Family, Youth and Sports of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration and the Kharkiv Regional Center of Youth acted as co-organizers of this event. Essential support to the Competition was provided by the Union of Entrepreneurs of Kharkiv region.

Eight best innovative ideas in two nominations “The Social Project” and “Manufacturing, services and trade” competed in the final of the Competition at that day. Our University was represented by three business plans of Magistracy students of the Strategic Management Department studying for a degree in Project Management. Each of the eight finalists had to present own project in front of the expert commission and answer a range of subsequent questions. According to the results of comprehensive assessment of 8 business plans by the expert commission the first place in nomination “The Social Project” went to NTU “KhPI” students from group IF-28 Anna Kishkinova and Darya Tonkopeeva. They presented a joint project titled “Social project on collecting and purification of drinking water for communities”. Professor Igor Kononenko was the Head of the work. The third place in nomination “Manufacturing, services and trade” went to another our student Eugenia Butsay for her business plan titled “Development of web portal “TransferUA”. Teaching Assistant Igor Babych was the Head of the work. Another work of our student Svetlana Koziar titled “Opening of the enterprise for Clever House system introduction” took the fifth place in the same nomination. Associate Professor Tatyana Efremenko was the Head of the work.

All winners, prize-winners and participants of the Competition were awarded by diplomas and memorable gifts. All eight business plans presented at the Competition will represent Kharkiv region at the Ukrainian Business Plan Competition of Entrepreneurship Activity among Youth in Kiev this year. We wish our students to adequately represent our region and the University, as well as to win the top places!
