Introduction to the Professional Trajectory: Educational Program “Computer Science. Artificial Intelligence and Project Management”

At the beginning of the spring semester, a special event was held for first-year students of the educational program “Computer Science. Artificial Intelligence and Project Management”. The event was initiated by the Head of the Department of Project Management in Information Technologies, Maryna Anatoliivna Hrynchenko.

The meeting was dedicated to informing students about their right to freely choose elective professional course packages.

The main goal of the event was to introduce students to professional development opportunities within the specialized course package “Project Management in the Field of Information Technologies.” During the session, Maryna Anatoliivna spoke about the strategic role of project management in the IT industry, current challenges faced by project managers, and the importance of interdisciplinary competencies that combine technical knowledge with skills in planning, risk assessment, and teamwork.

Particular attention was given to the advantages of selecting this specialized package, which includes courses in IT project management fundamentals, agile methodologies (Agile, Scrum), digital business transformation, and project analysis tools. Students also learned about internship opportunities at the department’s partner companies and the chance to participate in real-world projects.

The event was conducted in the format of an open dialogue, allowing students to ask questions about the specifics of the program, career prospects, and opportunities for individual development. Maryna Anatoliivna emphasized that the department actively supports student initiatives, participation in startup competitions, and academic conferences.

As a result of the event, student interest in selecting the “Project Management in IT” package increased, seeing it as a platform to combine professional knowledge in computer science with in-demand management skills.

Further similar meetings are planned to help students build informed educational paths and prepare future specialists capable of delivering complex digital projects in a dynamic labor market.
