Program Erasmus+

Erasmus+ is a European Union program that promotes mobility for students, teachers, youth, and other participants for learning, internships, volunteering, and more in both EU and non-EU countries. Here are some key aspects of the Erasmus+ programs:

1. Student Mobility

Erasmus+ allows students to study or undertake internships at universities and organizations in partner countries for periods ranging from a few months to a year. This provides the opportunity to experience learning in another culture, improve language skills, and increase employability.

2. Staff and Faculty Exchange

The program also supports mobility for professors and academic staff, enabling them to give lectures, courses, or seminars at other universities in EU countries. This fosters the development of academic and research links between institutions.

3. Youth Mobility and Volunteering

Erasmus+ includes programs for youth that allow them to participate in volunteering projects, educational activities, or youth exchanges. This helps develop leadership skills, communication abilities, and experience with different cultures.

4. Joint Educational Programs and Degrees

Erasmus+ supports the creation of joint educational programs between universities from different countries. Participation in such programs can lead to obtaining dual degrees or certificates from both institutions.

5. Internship Mobility

Students can also participate in internships with companies or organizations abroad, gaining practical experience and the opportunity to build a career in an international environment.

6. Projects and Partnerships

Erasmus+ also supports projects that promote cooperation between universities, organizations, businesses, and other institutions for educational, cultural, social, and technological initiatives.

7. Scholarships and Financial Support

Erasmus+ provides financial support in the form of scholarships, which help cover travel, living, and study expenses in a foreign country.

The Erasmus+ program opens up new opportunities for personal development, broadens horizons, and strengthens international connections in the fields of education and science.

On January 3, 2024, an agreement was signed to extend the cooperation between the Western University of Timișoara, Romania, and Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute (NTU “KPI”) until 2029.

Students of the department have a great opportunity to participate in ERASMUS+ mobility programs as per the provided program.
