On May 23, 2024, an online session of the subsection “Modeling of Operational Processes in Thermal and Energy Equipment and Energy Saving Issues” of Section 1: Energy, Electronics, and Electromechanics took place as part of the XXXII International Scientific and Practical Conference INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES: SCIENCE, ENGINEERING, TECHNOLOGY, EDUCATION, HEALTH – MicroCAD-2024 at NTU “KhPI”.
- Section Chair: Prof. Roman S. Tomashevskyi, D.Sc., Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Energy, Electronics, and Electromechanics
- Subsection Chair: Prof. Anton M. Hanzha, D.Sc., Department of Thermal Engineering and Energy-Efficient Technologies
- Secretary: Assist. Prof. Viktoriia H. Pavlova, Ph.D., Department of Thermal Engineering and Energy-Efficient Technologies
The subsection featured 37 presentations from over ten organizations, including:
- V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University
- National Aerospace University “Kharkiv Aviation Institute”
- Ukrainian State University of Railway Transport
- State Biotechnological University, among others.
This year’s program covered a wide and diverse range of topics, including:
- General issues of circular energy systems and decarbonization pathways,
- Modernization and development of nuclear power plants in Ukraine,
- Modeling and analysis of heating furnaces for rolling mills,
- Elements of gas and steam turbine engines, and cooling systems for energy equipment.
The session was well-organized and demonstrated a high scientific level of presentations. Such discussions are particularly valuable as they provide a platform to exchange ideas and research findings with colleagues from other universities and research centers.
