On May 22-23, 2025, the University of Wroclaw, Faculty of Economics (Uniwersytet Wrocławski, Poland) hosted the annual International Scientific Conference Wroclaw Annual Conference on Health and Lifestyle – WAICHL 2025, the theme of which this year was “Innovations in the Silver Economy”.
The conference brought together scientists, experts and representatives of government agencies from Poland, Germany, Latvia, Ukraine, Croatia, Lithuania, Vietnam and other countries to discuss interdisciplinary challenges related to population aging, digitalization of healthcare, social innovation and active longevity strategies.
The Department of Accounting and Finance of NTU KhPI has been a partner of WAICHL-2025 for 3 years in a row.
Among the active participants of the conference were representatives of the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” who presented scientific reports at the intersection of finance, management and digital technologies:
Prof. Oleksandr Manoilenko, Head of the Department of Accounting and Finance, and Associate Professor Svitlana Kuznetsova presented an innovative vision of the introduction of financial technologies in the digital transformation of healthcare;
Prof. Alina Shum focused on the strategic management of internal control in the context of population aging;
Oksana Makovoz, Professor of the Department of Management, focused on the development of digital and language competencies of Ukrainian elderly migrants.
The conference has become not only a platform for the presentation of scientific ideas, but also a place for international dialogue on the challenges of an aging society, opportunities for digitalization and inclusiveness in the European space.
The participation of NTU “KPI” representatives once again confirmed the high level of integration of our university into the international academic community.
