Intellectual property management of industrial enterprises based on a process-functional approach |
Intellectual property management at an enterprise is a complex process that includes the development (creation), acquisition of rights, commercialization, protection of rights and further utilization of an intellectual property object. In order for an industrial enterprise to be competitive, it is necessary to effectively manage intellectual property objects at all stages of the life cycle. Many scientific works, both domestic and foreign, are devoted to the formation of theoretical foundations of intellectual property management at industrial enterprises. Among domestic researchers, the most famous are O. Butnik-Siversky, M. Vachevsky, T. Gusakovska, T. Kobelyeva, I. Kornilova, A. Kosenko, I. Kuchumova, P. Klimushyn, O. Maslak, P. Pererva, Z. Pichkurova, A. Puhalska, V. Sviatnenko, V. Semenova, P. Tsybulev, A. Cherep, A. Chistyakova and others. Among foreign scientists, the following are known: J. Alcácer, K. Beukel, N. Bloom, B. Cassiman, M. Giuliani, T. Guoshuang, H. Hong, J. Lerner, G. Manjia, N. Short, M. Webb, Z. Zhiming and others. However, in the scientific literature there is no single view on the use of the most effective scientific approaches to intellectual property management at industrial enterprises, therefore, the issue of combining intellectual property management using process and functional approaches requires further research. The object of the study is the processes of intellectual property management of industrial enterprises. The subject of the study is the development of theoretical, methodological and scientific and practical principles of intellectual property management of industrial enterprises based on the process-functional approach. The theoretical and methodological basis of the dissertation work was formed by general scientific provisions of economic theory, enterprise management theory, and scientific works of leading scientists. The work uses general scientific methods: abstract-logical and dialectical – to clarify the essence of the concept of “management of intellectual property of an industrial enterprise” as a factor in increasing its competitiveness; analysis and synthesis – to develop a methodological approach to the quantitative and qualitative assessment of the management of intellectual property of an industrial enterprise; special methods (statistical, index, regression analysis, neural networks, network modeling under uncertainty): – to substantiate the value of intellectual property objects (goodwill, certificates of origin of energy produced from renewable energy sources), optimization of management using a process-functional approach, quantitative and qualitative assessment of the management of intellectual property of industrial enterprises. |

Formation of a risk management mechanism for processing enterprises |
The dissertation is devoted to the development and scientific substantiation of theoretical and scientific-methodological approaches to the formation of a risk management mechanism for processing enterprises in Ukraine. Based on the analysis of the evolution of views on the essence of the concept of “risk”, four stages of the formation and development of the theoretical concept of risk management and its methodological tools are distinguished: Stage I (XIII century – second third of the XVIII century) – the first attempts to comprehend the concept of “risk”, which is associated with the danger of negative consequences; Stage II (last third of the XVIII century – end of the XIX century) – the formation of ideas about risk as a factor in the formation of profit; Stage III (end of the XIX century – mid-XX century) – the formation of the concept of risks in entrepreneurial activity; Stage IV (50-60s of the XX century to the present) – the formation of modern concepts of risk management (theory of portfolio investments, theory of fuzzy sets and fuzzy logic, etc.). Such periodization allows us to organize in a more rational way the array of empirical and theoretical information regarding the formation of ideas about the economic nature of risk. The generalization and systematization of modern scientific approaches to understanding the economic essence of the concepts of “risk” and “risk management” made it possible to highlight the most significant features and properties of risks (object, subject, source, consequences, causes and conditions of occurrence and existence), which specify the features of their occurrence, existence and prevention in conditions of uncertainty, and to offer their author’s definitions. This helps to overcome the ambiguity of understanding their economic essence and the vagueness of the terminology of the theory of risk management. Based on a critical analysis of the main advantages and disadvantages of existing risk classifications, a faceted-hierarchical classification of risks of processing enterprises has been developed, which involves their simultaneous grouping at three hierarchical levels of sources of origin (global, industry and the level of the enterprises themselves) by exogenous and endogenous causes and the objective and subjective nature of occurrence. The proposed classification takes into account the specifics, nature and conditions of the activities of processing enterprises and helps to simplify the process of identifying risks for the purposes of their qualitative and quantitative assessment. A structural and logical scheme for the formation of a risk management mechanism for processing enterprises has been developed and its constituent elements have been substantiated, which are a set of subjects, objects, goals, objectives, principles, functions, methods and tools that provide a managerial impact on risks depending on the level of their occurrence. This approach allows you to establish the level of riskiness of the activities of processing enterprises, form a set of organizational and economic measures aimed at minimizing and neutralizing risks, and assess the effectiveness of their implementation. It is proven that oil and fat enterprises play an extremely important role in the economy of Ukraine, the export potential of which is a source of foreign exchange earnings, a stimulus for the development of agricultural enterprises and food industry enterprises. It has been established that the factor of economic growth of enterprises of the oil and fat industry, annual increase in their processing capacities and production volumes is innovative development, which is characterized by high competitiveness of finished products and its export orientation; introduction of the latest technologies of complex processing of oil raw materials, production of unrefined and refined sunflower oil, margarine, mayonnaise and by-products – meal and husk, the latter of which is an alternative source of energy. A scientific and practical approach to qualitative assessment of the impact of exogenous and endogenous, objective and subjective risks on the economic activities of processing enterprises of the oil and fat industry has been developed by conducting an expert survey and economic and statistical processing of its results. |

«Formation of components of the mechanism of intra-company technology transfer based on intrapreneurship»
|
The dissertation develops organizational and economic provisions of the components of the mechanism of intra-company transfer of own technological developments of a machine-building enterprise on the basis of intrapreneurship.
The economic component of this mechanism includes a block of technical and economic indicators of the enterprise’s work and a system of effects that, in their aggregate, can objectively assess the effect of the technology transfer process. An integrated standard-index approach to determining the cost of industrial technologies has been developed, which includes the standard (the base cost of the technological product is determined) and index (taking into account a wide range of additional market, economic and technical advantages of the technology) components. Methodological provisions for identifying the vector of development of the intra-company technology transfer system of a business entity are proposed by comparing the internal development capabilities of the enterprise and the level of favorableness of the external environment. Variants of the development of the technology transfer system of a machine-building enterprise based on a scenario approach are substantiated. |

Organizational and economic mechanism for ensuring compliance and security of an industrial enterprise |
The dissertation is devoted to the development and scientific substantiation of conceptual provisions, theoretical and methodological principles, methodological approaches and practical recommendations for the development of an organizational and economic mechanism for ensuring compliance and security of an industrial enterprise. The dissertation examines the theoretical and methodological basis of the concept of “compliance” and the possibilities of its use to increase the level of ensuring economic security of industrial enterprises. The formulation of the concepts of “economic security”, “compliance”, “compliance control”, “compliance unit” and “compliance risks” is considered, systematized and improved. The current state and prospects for changes in compliance violations in the economy of Ukraine have been analyzed and on this basis it is proposed to introduce into scientific circulation the term “compliance security”, which is defined based on the essence of both the term “compliance” itself and the concept of “economic security” as a measure of protection of the vital interests of an industrial enterprise from external and internal violations of laws, regulatory legal acts, standards, constituent and internal documents of the enterprise by identifying, assessing and maximally reducing (eliminating) compliance risks. Methodological recommendations have been developed for the formation and practical implementation of a compliance program for an industrial enterprise, which is based on organizational, process and technological components, which allows creating an adequate compliance control system for business, including preventive and procedures aimed at identifying committed violations and training programs. The importance and necessity of introducing an independent compliance unit into the organizational structure of an industrial enterprise is substantiated, a conceptual scheme of four levels of compliance protection of an industrial enterprise is proposed. Methodological provisions on the organizational construction of a compliance unit at an industrial enterprise are developed based on centralized, decentralized and combined approaches, which allows taking into account the specifics of a particular enterprise when implementing a compliance program in its activities and preventing the occurrence of financial, material, reputational and other losses. Scientific and practical recommendations are provided for assessing the effectiveness of the compliance unit, which include a comparison of the results of the enterprise’s work with or without such a unit, which allows for an objective assessment of the effectiveness of its work using graphical and analytical methods. |
