My name is Andrii Pochikalov. I am originally from Berestyn. Since middle school, I have been very passionate about physics, especially topics related to electricity. That is where the idea was born to enroll at KhPI, at the Faculty of Electric Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Electromechanics, Department of Electrical Apparatus. In 2021, I graduated from the Krasnohrad Multidisciplinary Lyceum and entered the university the same year. My studies were very interesting and informative, but unfortunately conducted remotely. Currently, I work as a 3rd-grade electrician at the branch of the Construction and Installation Works Department ‘Ukrhazspetsbudmontazh’ of Ukrgazvydobuvannia. Here we deal with various levels of complexity — from a regular socket to an electric crane beam. In general, our specialty is focused on the installation and maintenance of electrical installations and diagnostics aimed at troubleshooting and eliminating faults. In my opinion, the profession of an electrician is currently very widespread and in demand due to the instability of the energy system. Therefore, for those who are considering enrolling at NTU ‘KhPI,’ I highly recommend choosing this university, and specifically the Department of Electrical Apparatus.
