About the Institute

The Educational and Scientific Institute of Power Engineering, Electronics and Electromechanics was established on February 1, 2018 as a result of the reorganization of the faculties of Electrical Power Engineering, Electrical Mechanical Engineering and Power Mechanical Engineering. The institute trains specialists in the field of power engineering, electronics and electromechanics.

  1. Innovative technologies for the restoration and development of Ukraine. These are areas that are of critical importance for the energy independence and technological development of the country: digital energy and automated management of energy systems; renewable energy sources and decarbonization; hydrogen technologies as the future of energy infrastructure; artificial intelligence in managing energy consumption and generation; innovative solutions in electric drives and robotic systems; biomedical electronics and sensor systems.
  2. Cooperation with industry and business

The institute is actively expanding ties with enterprises so that students have access to modern technologies and real projects. Main initiatives: dual education and internships in production; involving business in the development of training programs; carrying out contract research and introducing innovations into production.

The institute is a participant in international scientific programs and grant projects, which ensures integration into the global scientific community.

Main areas of research: cutting-edge technologies in energy and automation; digitalization of industrial processes and power system management; innovations in biomedical electronics and diagnostic systems.

  1. Supporting students’ entrepreneurial potential

The institute develops an ecosystem to support startups, providing students with opportunities to create their own innovative companies.

Main initiatives: teaching the basics of technological entrepreneurship; incubators and accelerators to support engineering startups; assistance in attracting grants and investments.
