Career guidance for future engineers: a tandem of science, education and production for high school students of Lyceum No. 61

On December 5, 2025, the Department of Electrical Insulation and Cable Engineering held a career orientation meeting for high school students of the Kharkiv Lyceum No. 61 of the Kharkiv City Council with the participation of a representative of PJSC “Pivdenkabel” Roman Bilyanin. During the meeting, the students learned about modern areas of specialist training, opportunities for studying at the university, participation in scientific circles and projects, as well as employment prospects at one of the leading enterprises of Ukraine. Deputy Technical Director of PJSC “Pivdenkabel” spoke about real production processes, modern requirements for specialists and the importance of cooperation between the university and the enterprise: from joint practices and internships to the development of innovative solutions for the cable industry.

The meeting became a useful platform for motivated high school students, who had the opportunity to see how theory, research and practical engineering are combined, shaping the path to a future profession.
