A career orientation meeting was held at Kharkiv Lyceum No. 161, where employees of the EICT department, together with Roman Bilyanin, a representative of PJSC “Pivdenkabel”, presented the world of modern engineering specialties to high school students. The students were shown what the real work of power and cable engineers looks like, what skills are needed today and what opportunities technical education opens up. Roman Bilyanin spoke about the challenges and innovations in the production of cable products and explained why enterprises need young specialists with modern competencies. The team of the EICT department presented the areas of training, scientific initiatives and technologies that students work with during their studies. The atmosphere of open dialogue allowed lyceum students to ask their questions, understand the peculiarities of professions and see real development trajectories. Such meetings form a conscious choice in schoolchildren and motivate them to move towards professions that create the energy and technological infrastructure of the future.
