Welcome to the official website of the Department of Engineering Electrophysics at NTU “KhPI”! We train specialists at all levels of higher education (Bachelor’s, Master’s, Doctor of Philosophy).
Specialty – G3 Electrical Engineering
(formerly 141 – Electrical Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Electromechanics)
Educational Program “Electrical Power Engineering”
The educational trajectory “Renewable Energy Sources and High Voltage Electrophysics” is one of the most popular and promising areas in the electrical engineering and power engineering industries. This is due to its connection with the development, design, and research of equipment for both traditional and renewable energy sectors. To ensure the competitiveness of specialists in renewable energy sources and high-voltage pulse technology, the educational process in the department is organized according to labor market needs. In addition to general electrical engineering courses, training is conducted using modern programming tools and methods. Students learn to design, manufacture, and operate systems that utilize solar, wind, geothermal, and biomass energy, as well as develop high-voltage pulse testing and technological equipment such as magnetic-pulse and electrohydraulic installations, water disinfection systems, liquid food processing equipment, pulse electromagnetic field impact systems for biological objects, diagnostic and certification equipment for strategic power facilities, lightning protection systems, and more.
