At the end of last year, the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” and the Charitable Foundation “Union of Volunteers of Kharkiv” signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
One of the most active members of the Foundation for the second year in a row is Oleksandr Smiyan, a 4th-year student of the Department of Industrial and Biomedical Electronics at KhPI. Together with other students of Kharkiv Polytechnic, he manufactures drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and teaches this craft to Kharkiv schoolchildren.
Recently, Oleksandr was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation from the leadership of NTU “KhPI” and the “Union of Volunteers of Kharkiv.”
Oleksandr Smiyan received the award “for technical knowledge and skills demonstrated during volunteer activities” at a meeting of the leadership and teachers of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Energy, Electronics, and Electromechanics of NTU “KhPI” with their student activists, applicants, and volunteers in the shelter of Kharkiv Polytechnic.
