I greet you on behalf of the Department of organic synthesis and pharmaceutical technologies NTU “KhPI”. Our department has long-term experience (more than 135 years) in training of engineers, chemists and technologists. And since 1885, i.e., since it was founded, we steadily follow the principles of qualitative training of students for topical and perspective specializations.
Department, as well as University, was founded in 1885 year. More than 2200 graduates received their degrees. Among them there are engineers, technologists, chemists, researchers and design engineers. Department of organic synthesis and nanotechnology offer university department for full-time students and tuition by correspondence; secondary higher education in Ukraine and also distance education.

RECEIVE HIGH QUALITY EDUCATION OF EUROPEAN LEVEL FOR TWO SPECIALITIES
We offer two specializations. The educational program for specialization G1 is basic for the industry related to organic technology, food products and cosmetics. The educational program for specialization I8 is basic for industrial pharmacy. Learn more about specializations G1 and I8.
Specialization: Industrial pharmacy (I8)
Special education in the field of Health Care, in particular in pharmacy, industrial pharmacy.
Requires special practice at enterprises producing medicines/active pharmaceutical ingredients/perfume and cosmetic products/biotechnological products/dietary supplements/veterinary drugs.
Keywords: medicine technology, production and development of medicines, quality control of medicines, validation, standardization, active pharmaceutical ingredients, excipients, dosage forms, biopharmacy.

Specialization: Chemical technologies of organic substances, food additives and cosmetics (G1)
Concepts, laws and methods of mathematics, physics and chemistry used in chemical technologies and engineering; modeling and physical and chemical foundations of chemical production; conceptual principles of implementation of technological processes; calculation and design of apparatuses in the chemical technology of organic substances, food additives and cosmetics.
The program is focused on forming the broadest possible professional and technical outlook of the future specialist in the field of organic substances, food additives and cosmetics technologies through an enhanced selective component of profile disciplines and mandatory practice in production according to the professional profile.

How long is the period of education? And What kind of diploma receive our seniors?
In order to receive higher education diploma, graduating students study over a period of 4 — 6 years. After graduating from university, they obtain bachelor’s and master’s degree of international standard:
- bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering (4 year of study) and further master’s degree (1.5 years of study);
- master’s degree in pharmacy, industrial pharmacy (5 year of study).
Work after finishing education
Work, connected with speciality, and job placement of seniors. Our specialists hold a workplace in different organizations and enterprises. Among them:
- pharmaceutical industry : Pharmaceutical company «Zdorovya», PJSC chempharmzavod Chervona Zirka, Kusum Farm, LLC Fito-lek, Pharmacy 11 LLC, «Arterium» corporation;
- chemical industry:public corporation «Polymer device», « Plant of chemical agents»;
- fragrance-cosmetic industry: trading company Procter & Gamble, public corporation «Aroma»;
- food industry : «Vitamax», «Nasha Marka»;
- sanitary and hygienic control authorities;
- agency of protection of consumers, product certification and inspection;
- research organizations: National technical complex « Instituteof Monocrystals», NАS Ukraine; Governmental scientific center of medicinal agents.
At the present moment our department implement a new area connected with application of nanotechnologies and nanomaterials in organic and biochemical synthesis.
Students, who successfully finished their education, are permitted to, (gain an opportunity) entrance topostgraduate course.
