Members of the Circle: Students of 1st-6th year from all licensed specialties of the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” (NTU “KPI”).

Mode of Operation: The scientific circle meets online via Teams every Tuesday at 18:00.

The Student Scientific Circle provides a unique opportunity for students to deeply engage in research concerning intellectual property law. Under the guidance of Iryna Volodymyrivna Shuba, students will develop a strong understanding of intellectual property and its modern challenges, particularly in the age of digital transformation. The circle promotes interdisciplinary research, linking legal, technological, and economic perspectives, and encourages students to actively participate in scientific discourse and contribute to the ongoing development of intellectual property law.

Goals of the Student Scientific Circle:

  1. Engagement in Research Activities: Involving higher education students in scientific research activities.
  2. Development of Scientific Thinking and Problem-Solving Skills: Encouraging the development of scientific thinking and skills for solving theoretical and practical problems related to intellectual property law.
  3. Discussion of Current Issues: Addressing current challenges and defining modern development paths in the area of digital intellectual property.
  4. Realization of Intellectual Potential: Fostering creative initiative, developing scientific-theoretical and practical competencies, and ensuring students’ intellectual growth.

Main Objectives of the Student Scientific Circle:

  1. Popularizing Intellectual Property Knowledge: Promoting knowledge of intellectual property law among students.
  2. Development of Independent Creative Research Skills: Enhancing students’ skills for independent creative scientific work, accumulating research experience, and applying acquired research skills in academic, professional, and personal contexts.
  3. Improvement of Professional Expertise: Raising the level of professional expertise and readiness of higher education students in the field of intellectual property.

Advanced Study of Intellectual Property Protection: In-depth study of modern scientific achievements regarding the protection of intellectual property objects and using scientific approaches to identify contemporary issues in intellectual property, combining technical, legal, and economic aspects.
  5. Scientific Recommendations for Improvement: Forming scientifically grounded recommendations for improving the processes of creation, acquisition, and implementation of rights in the intellectual property field.

  2. Presentations at Scientific Seminars and Conferences: Presenting at scientific seminars and conferences dedicated to the study of intellectual property law issues.
