Topic of the report: “Respect for human rights when applying police measures”
Given the extreme urgency of ensuring human rights and freedoms, the issue of their observance during martial law is the most painful issue in our country today.
Human rights and freedoms become the first target of the aggressor during the war. Therefore, they must be protected and guaranteed both at the level of constitutional provisions and at the level of regulatory and legal regulation. Given the complex modern realities caused by Russia’s armed aggression and its full-scale invasion of Ukrainian lands, human rights are subject to exclusive means of ensuring, protecting and defending. The level of such ensuring is primarily determined by the development of effective mechanisms and the development of effective means and procedures used to protect and defend human rights and freedoms, which makes it possible to talk about guaranteeing the security of everyone in the state.
Therefore, in order to familiarize our students with the main mechanisms for protecting human rights in Ukraine during martial law and draw the attention of young people to possible restrictions on these rights and freedoms, our department is today holding a Round Table dedicated to this urgent problem.
The teachers of the Law Department Lysenko I.V., Perevalova L.V., Gariaeva G.M., Gaevaya O.V., Kuzmenko O.V., Tkachev M.M. actively participated in the organization of the round table.
