On May 23, 2024, the online meeting of the subsection “Modeling of Working Processes in Thermal-Technological and Energy Equipment and Energy Saving Issues” of Section No. 1 Energy, Electronics, and Electromechanics was held as part of the XXXII International Scientific and Practical Conference “Information Technologies: Science, Engineering, Technology, Education, Health” (MicroCAD-2024) at NTU “KhPI.”
The subsection was chaired by:
• R. S. Tomashevskyi, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Director of the Institute
• A. M. Hanzha, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor of the Department (subsection head)
• V. H. Pavlova, Senior Lecturer, Candidate of Technical Sciences (subsection secretary)
A total of 37 presentations were submitted by more than ten organizations, including V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, the National Aerospace University “KhAI,” the Ukrainian State University of Railway Transport, the State Biotechnological University, and others.
This year’s presentations covered a wide spectrum of topics — from general issues of circular energy systems and decarbonization strategies, modernization and development of Ukraine’s nuclear power plants, to modeling and analysis of heating furnaces, components of gas and steam turbine engines, and cooling systems for energy equipment.
The event demonstrated excellent organization, a high scientific level of research, and the value of such discussions in exchanging ideas and fostering collaboration among universities and research centers.
