NTU “KhPI” once again joined the global UNESCO initiative to celebrate the International Day of Light. This year, the event reached a new scale: for the first time, it was held simultaneously offline at the Kharkiv Scientific Boarding Lyceum “Obdarovanist” and online, engaging participants from across Ukraine. The activities took place on May 16, 2025, bringing together more than 200 participants.
At the “Obdarovanist” Lyceum, the most active young researchers and their mentors gathered to explore the properties of light, observe exciting laser demonstrations, take part in lively discussions with young scientists from NTU “KhPI,” and build their own optical devices during hands-on workshops.
Lecturers of the Department of Heat Engineering and Energy-Efficient Technologies played an active role in the event, conducting demonstrations, interacting with participants, and promoting modern engineering fields.
