The Department hosted the defenses of qualification works of students pursuing the second (Master’s) level of higher education. The defenses were conducted in accordance with the approved schedule and in the presence of the Examination Committee, which included leading academic staff of the Department and was chaired by the Head of the Department of Refrigeration, Cryogenic and Climate Engineering, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor V. V. Starikov.
The topics of the Master’s theses covered a wide range of current issues in heat power engineering and energy-efficient technologies, including the modernization of heat supply systems, implementation of heat pumps and renewable energy sources, improvement of building energy efficiency, utilization of low-potential heat sources, as well as the application of modern information and calculation methods in thermal engineering systems.
During the defenses, the students demonstrated a solid level of theoretical knowledge, the ability to perform engineering calculations, analyze technical and economic indicators, and justify the adopted technical solutions. The members of the Examination Committee emphasized the practical orientation of most works and their compliance with current industry requirements.
The Department congratulates the graduates on the successful completion of their studies and wishes them further professional achievements, scientific accomplishments, and successful careers in their chosen fields.
