On December 11–12, online defenses of master’s theses were held at the department.
Eighteen graduates of full-time and part-time study presented their work to the State Examination Commission chaired by Professor O. I. Tarasov of the Turbine Engineering Department.
This year’s topics reflected a wide variety of areas within specialty 144 Thermal Power Engineering:
– energy efficiency at thermal power plants and large industrial facilities,
– melting furnaces,
– steam and hot-water boilers,
– municipal energy challenges, including the use of alternative energy sources.
All works were completed at a high level, and all graduates received positive evaluations.
