Department of Quality Assurance of Educational Activities of NTU KhPI
The main goal is to develop, ensure the functioning and optimization of the Quality Management System of Educational Activities at the University in accordance with the requirements of national and international standards.
The main tasks of the department:
Coordination of activities for the development, implementation and support of the functioning of the quality management system at the University in accordance with the requirements of DSTU ISO 9001:2015
Information and methodological support for the management of documents of the Quality Management System at all stages
Organization of training of the University personnel in order to master the Quality Management System and put it into operation in accordance with the needs of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and in accordance with the standards
Control over the functioning of the Quality Management System at the University
Organization of internal and external audits of the Quality Management System
Organization of certification of the Quality Management System in national certification bodies
Ensuring timely adoption by the University management of corrective and preventive actions necessary to eliminate (prevent) inconsistencies in the organization of the University processes that affect the quality of educational services
Ensuring electronic access to the Quality Management System documents posted on the official website of the University
Providing consulting and information services in the field of quality management educational activities.
Academic integrity
Academic integrity is a set of ethical principles and norms of behavior that students, teachers, researchers and other participants in the academic environment adhere to in order to ensure honesty, transparency and fairness in the educational and scientific process. It is the basis for creating reliable knowledge and preventing falsification.
Key aspects of academic integrity:
Honesty in teaching and research: This includes completing assignments independently, without copying, using cheat sheets or artificial intelligence without proper citation.
Prevention of plagiarism: Do not copy other people’s ideas, texts or data without citing the source. For example, citing sources in essays, coursework or scientific articles.
Ethical handling of data: In research, do not falsify results, do not hide information and ensure objectivity.
Responsibility: Participants in the academic process must respect intellectual property, avoid conflicts of interest and promote fair assessment.
The National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute” has a code of academic integrity that regulates these issues and its violation may lead to appropriate sanctions.
