The Main
The department actively conducts scientific research in the field of automation, control and cybersecurity of energy systems. The main areas are the development of innovative technologies for the automation of electricity production, transmission and distribution, the creation of monitoring and diagnostics systems for equipment, as well as research in the field of digital solutions to increase the reliability of energy infrastructure.
Considerable attention is paid to issues of cybersecurity of energy systems, in particular the protection of critical infrastructure from cyber threats. Research is conducted in the field of detecting and preventing cyber threats, developing data protection technologies, as well as automated incident response systems.
The department participates in state and international research projects aimed at creating automated energy process management systems, developing intelligent networks (Smart Grid) and energy resource accounting technologies. In cooperation with enterprises, developments are implemented that contribute to increasing the efficiency of energy processes.
The results of research by teachers and students of the department are published in leading scientific journals, patents and monographs. The department pays special attention to the introduction of modern technologies into the educational process, which allows students to gain relevant knowledge and practical skills for work in the conditions of digitalization of the energy sector.
