Career Guidance Collaboration Between the Department and “YUGcement” Branch of PJSC “Dyckerhoff Cement Ukraine”

💥 On March 1, 2024, professors of the Department of Ceramic, Refractory, Glass, and Enamel Technology, Viktoriia Taranenkova and Oksana Borysenko, held an online meeting with representatives of the enterprise “YUGcement,” a branch of PJSC “Dyckerhoff Cement Ukraine” (Mykolaiv region) — the largest cement industry enterprise in Southern Ukraine. The company’s products are widely used in the construction of shipbuilding and alumina plants, port facilities, nuclear power plants, roads, residential buildings, agricultural, and cultural-infrastructure facilities. Despite ongoing challenges, the enterprise continues to operate — and in the near future, the launch of a kiln for the production of much-needed Portland cement is expected.

Our department has long-standing, friendly relations with the enterprise. Among its team are our graduates: Head of the Production Laboratory Olena Semilet, Head of Production No. 2 Maksym Shapovalov, and Metrologist Alla Vakar.

Viktoriia Taranenkova shared the advantages of studying at NTU “KhPI,” explained the enrollment process, outlined the prospects of the specialization, and invited both employees of the enterprise and their children to pursue education at our university.
