On May 9, 2024, at 2:30 p.m., an open lecture by guest professor Edwin Spartakovych Gevorkyan from Poland was held, dedicated to innovative composite materials for technical purposes. Edwin Spartakovych has long-standing and close friendships with the teachers of our department, was a long-term member of our specialized Dissertation Defense Council, and an official opponent of doctoral and candidate theses. He currently teaches at the Lublin University of Natural Sciences and shared his knowledge of technical ceramics with the students of our department.

The listeners had the opportunity to get acquainted with the original methods of preparation of nanopowders, features of the manufacture and use of ceramic composites, methods of manufacturing technical ceramics, 3D printing of complex products, etc.

The students of the department were very interested in learning new facts about innovative technologies for obtaining ceramic and composite materials for technical purposes and the main areas of application of such products.
