PhD Student Certification

Our department is well known for its dedication to training young researchers. Even in the frontline city of Kharkiv, we continue to educate future lecturers and scientists, who will be in high demand by our industries and research institutions in the post-war period.

At the end of April, our PhD student certification took place. We currently have 24 doctoral students. The certification was conducted online in the presence of their academic supervisors — nearly all professors of our department: Head of Department Prof. Olena Fedorenko, Professors Yaroslav Pitak, Heorhii Lisachuk, Halyna Shabanova, Oksana Borysenko, Viktoriia Taranenkova, and Associate Professor Ruslan Kryvobok.

The current distribution of doctoral students by year is as follows:

  • 1st year: 9 students (O. Hrebeniuk, V. Kostyrko, M. Khrystych, K. Zolotarov, K. Permiakov, I. Humennyi, D. Ushakov, D. Smyrnov, D. Mruie);

  • 2nd year: 8 students (M. Sharapov, O. Riabinin, O. Tymchenko, M. Nahornyi, S. Monakhov, A. Kapustiak, A. Ishchenko, V. Arefiev);

  • 3rd year: 2 students (A. Balaiev, P. Korekian);

  • 4th year: 4 students (O. Morozova, V. Tymofieiev, S. Lihiezin), and one student is currently on academic leave.

The doctoral students reported on their results, publications, research plans, and career guidance activities.
