Technical Committee No. 131

Тechnical Standardization Committee No. 131 “Electrical Insulation and Cable Equipment” was established by order of the State Standard of Ukraine dated March 19, 1999 No. 126. The technical committee includes more than 20 industrial and research organizations.

The Committee is working to improve the regulatory framework and create state standards of Ukraine for cable technology, which orient cable product manufacturers to world-class quality indicators in design, production and testing. The Technical Committee, together with the Ministry of Emergency Situations, initiated the creation of domestic standards for fire resistance of cable products. The result of this work is the development of requirements for cable and wire products used by nuclear power plants, the metro and other socially important facilities; changes have been made to the regulatory documentation of the relevant ministries and departments.

     The Regulations on the Technical Committee for Standardization TC 131 “Electrical Insulation and Cable Engineering” were approved by Order No. 290 of the State Enterprise “Ukrainian Scientific Research and Training Center for Standardization, Certification and Quality Problems” (SE “UkrNDNC”) on September 29, 2016.

On November 14, 2019, in Kharkiv, on the territory of the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”, meetings of Technical Committee 131 “Electrical Insulation and Cable Engineering” were held. Among the items on the agenda, a report on the work of the TC for 2017-2019 was approved. The following members of the Ukrelectrocable Association were accepted into TC-131: LLC “TF Cable Ukraine” (Chernihiv) and TZDV “GAL-KAT” (Lviv).

STRUCTURE OF TC No. 131 “Electrical insulation and cable technology”
