Goncharenko Tetiana. The Head of the Department of Foreign Languages of NTU “KhPI” since October, 2018. PhD. In 1990   she graduated from the Faculty of Foreign Languages of Maxim Gorky Kharkiv State University (now KhNU named after VN Karazin). Since graduating from the University she has been working at NTU “KhPI” Department of Foreign Languages. Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences. She defended the dissertation “Pedagogical Conditions of Professional Training of Future Engineers-Programmers at a Technical University”. She teaches disciplines such as”English for Specific Purposes”, “English for Academic Purposes”, “General English “, “Business English “, “English for International Exams”. She is in charge of the department scientific direction “Development of Professional Communicative Competence Skills in ESP/EAP Classes”. She is a participant of  “English for Universities” project. Tetiana Goncharenko is a member of the International Professional Association of  English Teachers TESOL-Ukraine and a public organization of IT scientists of Ukraine. Her area of scientific interests is quality of education, active teaching methods, professional communication competence, organization of educational process for improving the quality of teaching and learning. Since 2000 and till  now Goncharenko Tetiana has been working as a corporate teacher of English in Kharkiv companies (primarily IT companies). Tetiana has more than 40 publications, 3 textbooks with the visas of the Ministry of Higher Education.


 


Berkutova Tetiana. An assistant professor. In 1985 graduated from O.M.Gorky Kharkiv State University (now Karazin Kh N U) according to the speciality -translator of scientific and technical literature. Has been working at NTU  “KhPI” since 1992. А specialist in computer-aided scientific-technical data processing. The areas of special interest are cross-cultural communication and its role in teaching foreign languages, the formation of intercultural competence in ES P students. Participated in “English for Universities” British Council project, as well as the programme organized by Cambridge University and aimed at preparing students for passing international exams. Deputy Head of the Department responsible for methodological work in foreign languages with graduates. A member of the International professional association of English teachers TESOL-Ukraine.


Vrakina Viktoriia. An assistant professor. Works at the NTU “KhPI” from 2006. Graduated from “KhISP” in 1997, faculty of foreign languages, got the qualification of an English and French teacher and adviser-interpreter. Thesis: ”The actualization of  the category of  instrumentality in modern English on the example of  literary discourse.” The participant of the  British Council project “English for Universities” in 2017-2018. Scientific interests: Romano Germanic philology, its development and the methods of  teaching foreign languages. The Author of  22 scientific publications. Deputy head of the department for the organization of  methodological work with the students of the extramural department. The member of  International professional  organization of  English teachers Tesol-Ukraine.


Grashchenkova Victoriia. An assistant professor. In 1989 she graduated from the Faculty of Foreign Languages of Maxim Gorky Kharkiv State University (now KhNU named after VN Karazin).  Awarded qualifications: philologist, teacher of English, teacher of French, translator. Since 2004 she has been working at NTU “KPI” Department of Foreign Languages. She teaches English and French. Victoriia Grashchenkova has 14 publications in national and international scientific conferences. She is the Deputy Head for the organization of  methodological work at the  KN faculty and French section methodical work. She is a participant of  “English for Universities” project in 2017-2018. Her area of scientific interests is methodology of teaching foreign languages, theory of speech communication, development of skills for professional communicative competence (soft skills). She is a member of the International Professional Association of English Teachers TESOL-Ukraine.


 

Dyomochka Lidia. An assistant professor. She graduated from the Department of Foreign Languages of ​​ Kharkiv State University named after  O. M. Gorky (now the V. N. Karazin KhNU) in 1998.  She has been working at the Department of Foreign Languages, NTU”KhPI” ​​since 2005. She is the Deputy Head of the Department for organizational issues. She  carries out the duties of  the training load calculation and scheduling  the teaching process. She teaches courses “English for special purposes”, “English for academic purposes”, “General English language”, “Business English language”.  She is a member of the British Council project “English for Universities”. She  is a member of the International Professional Association of Teachers of English TESOL-Ukraine.


Kolyada Iryna Valeriivna. She has been a senior teacher of English at the Foreign Languages Department of NTU “KhPI” since 2023. In 2009, she graduated with award from Kharkiv National Pedagogical University named after H.S. Skovoroda, where she received the Master Degree «Pedagogy and methods of secondary education. English language and literature”, and obtained the qualification of “teacher of English Language and Literature”. She was working at the National University of Pharmacy from September 2009 to August 2023. During this time, forty scientific and educational and methodical works were completed individually and in co-authorship, including: 18 articles, 25 publications, 15 educational and methodical recommendations, 8 workbooks, 2 manuals, 2 monographs, 2 textbooks. From 2016 to 2019, she was responsible for the organization and holding of speaking clubs with native speakers for English courses at the University. In April 2017, she received an international certificate in English language teaching methods Cambridge Certificate TKT Module 2 “Lesson planning and use of resources for language training”, No. 0057291270, April 2017, Cambridge English Language Assessment. From 01.03.2018 to 30.03.2018, she organized and attended a course of advanced training seminars (120 hours) on the topic “Creative activity in PDP lessons” for employees of the department and the university on the basis of the language school “Lingvo Classic”. On September 10, 2021, she received a Merit Letter for conscientious and impeccable work, fruitful scientific and pedagogical activity, high achievements in teaching and education of student youth (Department of Science and Education of Kharkiv Regional State Administration No. 02146446). On August 31, 2023, she received the First Degree Diploma in the nomination “The best teacher of NUPh” according to the rating of teachers of NUPh in 2022-2023 academic year. She is a member of the International Association of English Teachers as a Foreign Language (IATEF) and the public organization “International Foundation of Scientists and Educators” IESF. Scientific interests: methods of teaching foreign languages, development of skills of professional and communicative competence, foreign languages distance and blended learning.

 

Lazareva Olga. An associate professor, PhD. In 1981 she graduated from A.M. Gorky Kharkiv state University (now – V.N. Karazin Kharkiv NationalUniversity) philological department. Qualification: linguist; specialist in automated text information processing; translator of scientific and technical literature. Candidate of technical sciences (PhD), field: Military cybernetics, control systems and communication, 1997. She has worked in NTU “KhPI” at the Department of foreign languages since 2006. In 2012 she was awarded the scientific title “Docent”. Subjects taught: ESP (English for specific purposes), EAP (English for academic purposes). In 2014-2019 she was a participant of the British council “English for Universities” project. By the results of the project participation she has prepared and delivered 18 reports at the department’s methodological seminars. She has published 6 textbooks and 15 scientific papers, taken part in 26 scientific conferences. The area of scientific interests: English teaching methods, using computer technologies in teaching the language. She is a deputy head of the Department of foreign languages responsible for organising methodological work of the English section of the Department. At the department she is heading the scientific activity in the field of analysing specific methodological and organisational aspects of teaching English to foreign students. She is a member of the International professional association of English teachers TESOL-Ukraine.


 

Levin Yevhen. A Senior teacher. In 1993 graduated from Kharkiv Karazin National University. After graduating worked as an English schoolteacher for a year. Since 1994 has been working at the Foreign Languages Department of NTU “KhPI”. The range of his scientific interests relates to methodology for teaching a foreign language (English). Yevhen D. Levin teaches English for Special Purposes (Special Military Training). He is an author of more than 20 scientific issues and one tutorial. Yevhen D. Levin is a member of International Professional Association of English Teachers TESOL-Ukraine.


Malko Nataliia. A senior English teacher. In 2009 she graduated from KhNU V.N. Karazin, the specialty is language and literature (English), the qualification is a philologist, a teacher of English language and literature, German language, a translator of English and German languages. In 2019 she completed the full course of Kharkiv Regional Institute of Public Administration of National Academy of Public Administration attached to the Office of the President of Ukraine, obtained qualification: Master Degree, Program Subject Area “Public administration”, Education program “Public administration”. From 2015 to 2018 he took part in the project of the British Council “English for Universities”(«English for ESP-teachers»). The author of 4 scientific publications. The field of scientific interests: the theory of language communication, intercultural communication, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics.


Martynchuk Oksana. An assistant professor. In 1989 she graduated from Kharkiv National Pedagogical University, Faculty of Foreign Languages, specialty French and Russian languages. In 2000 she graduated from the English department of National Courses of Ukrainian and Foreign Languages. Since graduating from the University she has been working in NTU “KhPI”.  Oksana does research in the field of  neurolinguistics and development of professional communicative competence of students through learning foreign language for specific purposes. She is a co-author of 1 textbook and 8 publications. She took part in trainings organized by British Council “English for Universities”. She is a Deputy Head of the Department for the organization of English section methodical work for Institute of Education and Science in Mechanical Engineering and Transport. Oksana Martynchuk is a member of the International Professional Association of English Teachers TESOL-Ukraine.


Mokh Yuliya. An assistant professor, PhD. She graduated from Kirovograd State Pedagogical University named after Volodymyr Vynnychenko in 2002 and completed past-time postgraduate studies at the Department of Pedagogy and Tertiary Education of Kharkiv National Pedagogical University named after G.S. Skovoroda in 2011. She has been worked in NTU “KhPI” since 2005. She is a PhD (Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences). She teaches Foreign Language (military and special language training). She sits on the group “Development of Scientific and Methodological Recommendations for the Testing from Foreign Languages of Technical Universities’ Students”. She attended a course of lectures “In-service training for English teachers” (Folkuniversitetet, Sveden) in 2006 and a course in EF International School of English (London) in 2007. She has 36 thesis and articles in different specialized journals including 15 articles on the topic of her dissertation “English Teaching Methodology for Non-Speaking Specialities”. She is a deputy head of methodological work on foreign language teaching at the Military Armored Forces Institute of NTU “KhPI”. The range of her scientific interests is English teaching methodology for non-speaking specialities and learning through play at the English lessons. She is a member of international association of professionals of English language teaching TESOL-Ukraine.


Novik Svitlana. A senior English teacher. She graduated from Kharkiv National University named after M. Gorky (now KhNU named after V.N. Karazin), Faculty of Foreign Languages in 1985, speciality English Language and Literature, qualification philologist, English language teacher, translator. Second education: National Law Academy named after Y. Mudry, 1999, speciality law, qualification lawyer. S.A. Novik has been working at the department since 1991, deputy head of the department for the organization of foreign languages methodical work ​​at the Institute of Chemical Technologies. The sphere of scientific interests: foreign languages teaching methods, development of students’ general educational skills. Number of scientific and educational publications 30.


Sadkovslaya Valeriia. An assistant professor. Graduated from Kharkov Pedagogical Institute in 1993. Deputy Head of the Department for organizing methodological work of  Power Engineering Institute, published educational and methodological manuals, professional articles, publications. The theme of Dissertation Work deals with the problems of History of Science and Technology. She is a member of the International Professional Association of English Teachers TESOL-Ukraine.

 


Sergina Svitlana. A senior teacher. In 2003 she graduated from Kharkiv Institute of Social Progress, Faculty of Foreign Languages, specialty English language and Literature. Awarded qualifications: philologist, teacher of English language and Literature.  Since 2004 she has been working at NTU “KPI”. She is responsible for calculating the department workload and scheduling training sessions. Svitlana is the secretary of the department. She teaches discipline “General English”. She has 25 publications in national and international scientific conferences. She is a co-author of one textbook. She took part in 8 scientific conferences with reports (certificates are available). Her area of scientific interests is methods of teaching foreign languages, development of professional communicative competence skills, theory of speech communication. She is a member of the International Professional Association of English Teachers TESOL-Ukraine.

Sukhanova Tetiana – Associate Professor of the Foreign Languages Department of NTU “KhPI”. Has been working at NTU “KhPI” since 2021. In 2001 she graduated from the Kharkiv State University, Philological department, specialization: philologist, teacher of Russian language and literature. In 2004 she defended her dissertation on the topic: “Mythological and Poetic Semantics in the Lyrical Poetry of A.A. Tarkovsky” and received a diploma of Candidate of Philological Sciences. In 2012 she graduated from the  V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Foreign Languages department; qualification: philologist, teacher of English language. Author (co-author) of more than 70 publications of scientific, educational and methodological works; leading lecturer in the disciplines: “English”, “English for Professional Purpose”; member of the international public organization: “Association of English Language Teachers “TESOL – Ukraine”.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Salamatina Anna. Senior teacher. Graduated from Karazin Kharkiv National  University, speciality: language and literature (German), qualification: philologist, teacher of the German language and literature, the English language, translator of the German and English languages. Sphere of scientific interests: German literature of the post-war period. The author of 6 research papers.


Tanko Yevheniia. An assistant professor, PhD. In 2004 graduated from Kharkiv National pedagogical University named after G.S.Skovoroda, the specialty “ English language and foreign literature”. Since 2004 and till now has been working at NTU “ KhPI”. In 2015 candidate of pedagogical sciences. Thesis: “ The organization of independent students’ work in the universities of Great Britain.” Specialty 13.00.01- General pedagogy and History of  Pedagogy. She is the Deputy Head of the Department for the organization of methodical work in a foreign language of the faculty of computer technologies. The author of 13 scientific publications and 1 distance course for the students of extramural department. Field of research: methods of foreign language teaching, distance and mixed learning of foreign languages. The member of TESOL – Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages in Ukraine.


Fedorets Sergii. An assistant professor, PhD. The scientific project was devoted to the investigation of functioning of English borrowings in the modern Ukrainian Advertisements (2005). Mr. Fedorets has been working in NTU “KhPI” since 2007. Mr. Fedorets took part in the BRITISH Councils project “English for Universities”. Also Mr. Fedorets is the member of Tesol-Ukraine.

 

 

 


Tetyana Chudovska. Senior English teacher. In 1995, she graduated from Gorlivka State Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages, the specialty is French and English. The qualification: teacher of French and English. In 2014, completed the full course of postgraduate studies at Gorlivka Institute of Foreign Languages ​​“Donbass State Pedagogical University”, specialty 10.02.15 (general linguistics). The author of 13 scientific publications and co-author of a textbook. The field of scientific interests: onomastics, literature, poetry of artistic creation.


Sheina Larysa. An assistant professor, PhD. In 2000 she graduated from Kharkiv State Pedagogical University named after. G.S. Skovoroda, in 2010 got her PhD degree in Pedagogics (Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences). The title of the research is “Students’ Self-Governing as a Means of Youth Socializing”. The fields of scientific interests are the following: comparative linguistics, cross-cultural socialization, social modeling, students self-governing. She took part in the British Council project “English for Universities”, is a member of the International Professional Association of English Teachers TESOL-Ukraine. Her responsibility at the department is organizing scientific research and editorial and publishing activity of the academic staff. She is the author of more than 20 scientific works.


Yatsenko Nadiia. An assistant professor. In 2000 she graduated from Kharkiv National Pedagogical University, Faculty of Foreign Languages, specialty German language. She has been working in NTU “KhPI” since 2006. Nadiia does research in the field of neurodiadactics and distance learning. She is a co-author of 5 textbooks and 15 publications. Her area of professional and scientific interests is the research and use of communicative methods, modern Internet resources and gadgets for improving the teaching of the German language.  Yatsenko Nadiia is a participant of projects with Germany. She is responsible for holding the student Olympiad and student conferences in the German language. She is a Deputy Head of the Department for the organization of German section methodical work. She is in charge of the scientific direction of the department “Neurodiadactics in Teaching Foreign languages”.  She is a member of the International Professional Association of German Teachers.


Mishenina Natalia. A senior teacher. She graduated from G.S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University, the specialty is “Foreign philology” and was qualified as a philologist, a German teacher and translator. She is responsible for department teachers’ profiles in Google Scholar. A member of the International Professional Association of German Teachers.

 

 

 


DEPARMENT ENGINEERS

Korytchenko Olena. The chief engineer. The assistant of the Head of the Department on educational issues. She graduated from Kharkov Liberal Institute “People’s Ukrainian Academy” with the specialty “Translation” and was qualified as a “researcher-translator” with the knowledge of German and English. She is responsible for the electronic timetable.

 

 

 


Vitukhina Victoria. The first category engineer. Graduated from Kharkiv State Academy of Urban Economy, specialty “Economics and management of civil engineering”, qualification – engineer-economist. At the department, she is responsible for educational process support for full-time and extramural students.


Pavlii Olena. The first category engineer. She graduated from G.S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University in 2003 with the specialty “English Language and Literature teacher”. She has been working at the department since 2009. She is responsible for the educational process organization at the Faculty for students, lecturers and teachers.

 


Korzhavina Olena. The first category engineer. She graduated from Kharkov Institute of Social Progress, the specialty is “English Language and Literature”. Scientific interests: methods of teaching foreign languages. She is responsible for the educational process organization at Correspondence Faculty.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Karasiova Olena Viacheslavivna – Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, Associate Professor of the Foreign Languages Department of NTU “KhPI”; author (co-author) of more than 100 publications of scientific, educational and methodological works; leading lecturer in the disciplines: “English”, “English for Professional Purpose”; member of the international public organization: “Association of English Language Teachers “TESOL – Ukraine “; owner of honors from the Head of the Education and Science Main Department of the Kharkiv Region State Administration.

 In 2001, she graduated from the Kharkiv State Pedagogical University named after G.S. Skovoroda and received a diploma with honors in the specialty: “Pedagogy and Methodologу of Secondary Education. English”. In 2010, she defended her dissertation on the topic: “Organization of Students’ Independent Work in Higher Education Institutions of Slobozhanshchyna in the second half of the IX – the beginning of the XX-th century” and received a diploma of Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences. In 2012, she awarded the academic title of the associate professor of the Foreign Languages Department, the Higher Attestation Commission. She is the owner of certificates for passing international exams on the methodology of teaching the English language, for attending a course of training seminars on the topic: “Creative Activities in PDP Lessons” and others. Scientific interests: organization of students’ independent work, methods of teaching English, general pedagogy and history of pedagogy, theory and practice of translation.
