The intelligent computer systems department provides Applied and Computational Linguistics training in the field of Philology, based on the specialist training conception which has been developed in the department and remains unique for Ukraine.
The uniqueness of this conception consists in training of two foreign languages (English and German / French) and linguistic-related subjects, as well as modern computer technologies. Owing to this fact our graduates get more job opportunities than other graduates specialized only in one area, either Philology or Engineering.
To implement the specialist training conception in the field of Applied and Computational Linguistics we have developed a unique curriculum, which combines traditional linguistic subjects with special technical courses. Combined learning of these subjects contributes to gaining practical skills by the students in the analysis of linguistic material and its application in solving specific problems related to automated natural language processing and computational linguistics.
The graduate degrees to be awarded are Bachelor, and Master.
