Informatics

Starting with 2013-2014 academic year, the Intelligence Computer Systems together with the Department and the System Analysis and Management Department provide training for bachelor students with the speciality of ‘Informatics’.

In prospect the Intelligence Computer Department is planning to obtain the license for training master students by the speciality ‘Applied Informatics’.

The student training with Informatics speciality is based on the integral combination of fundamental mathematical training with profound study of computer engineering and up-to-date information, inclusive of linguistic, technologies.

Informatics is a complex scientific and engineering subject that studies all the aspects of elaboration, design, creation of information gathering storage and processing electronic systems intended for managing knowledge-intensive processes in technical-economical, ecological and social systems.

Application of advanced learning technologies, vast implementation of computing machinery, means and software suites for modeling and designing, active using of recent achievements in the field of information technologies, employment of the modern audio- and video devices, information, mathematic and linguistic technologies, as well as in-depth studying of foreign languages contribute to comprehensive and high-quality (general and special) training of informatics specialists. Informatics offers the students to get thorough knowledge either of theoretical and practical nature. In course of studying the students gain practical skills in efficient resolution of linguistic tasks using state-of-the-art information technologies and systems.

The licenesed number of students to be enrolled for first-year study is 20 persons.

The licensed graduate degree is bachelor.

The graduates obtain the following qualification:

– at bachelor’s degree level: Bachelor of Informatics.
