On July 6, 2023, for the first time at our university, two dissertation defenses were held for students from the People’s Republic of China in the field of knowledge 12 – Information Technology, who studied in English in the specialty 123 “Computer Engineering”.
Postgraduate students of the Department of Computer Engineering and Programming Cao Weilin and Zhang Lijiang presented very relevant scientific developments on the topic “Method for improving software security based on penetration testing technologies” and “Decision support method for software security decision” in defense. The results of their research were introduced not only at the enterprises of the People’s Republic of China, but were also used in the activities of such domestic companies as Line Up and the NSC Institute of Forensic Expertise. In addition, the practical approaches explored in the dissertation were used in the preparation of the educational process of the Department of Computer Engineering and Programming on the new learning path “Secure Systems and Networks Engineering” in the EPP “Computer Engineering Application”.
Scientific adviser of both graduate students is Chernykh Olena, Ph.D. Phys.-Math. in Science, Associate Professor, Professor of the Computer Engineering and Programming Department, NTU KhPI.
The head of two specialized scientific councils for PhD defense was the head of the Department of Computer Engineering and Programming, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Zakovorotny Olexander. One-time councils included leading scientists from NTU “KhPI”, Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics and Ukrainian State University of Railway Transport.
