The Department of Materials Science trains bachelors (specialist), masters (professional), as well as masters (researcher engineer) in full-time and part-time forms on a budgetary and contract basis (in 2022 – 32 budgetary places).

Training is conducted both on classical equipment and instruments, and related to nanotechnology in materials science.

A significant step towards the introduction of modern scientific equipment was the agreement on cooperation established during the 130th anniversary of NTU “KPI” between

department
and Dutch company OPTEC.
The result of the agreements is new modern microscopes at the department, as well as software for processing and analyzing images of structures.

08.2017 – with the first vice-president of the Ukrainian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the chairman of the supervisory board Khmelnitsky Vasily Ivanovich;

01.2017-08.2017 – mutual visits with representatives of the universities of Amman and Tafil Technical University of Jordan;
12.2017 – with the directorate of the Istanbul Technical University on the coordination of the programs of scientific cooperation, the exchange of students and internships for teachers;
