Department of General and Inorganic Chemistry in 1885 osnovana founder prof. V. Gemilian. Worked at the Department of prof. A. Gunder, prof. Y. Korshun, prof. K. Roll, prof. V. Kutovyi, prof. P. Buhay, prof. Y. Biryukov, prof. V. Shagaydenko, prof. V. Bulavin, prof. M. Ved’. Since 2022 Head of the Department Sci.D. A. Korohodska. Teaching staff (11 teachers) consists of 3 professors, 5 associate professors, 2 senior lecturers. Teaching staff replenished the number of graduate students and applicants of the department. Material resources: – the total area of the department – 682 m2; – The total amount of training assignments – 15,000 hours. Department provides teaching of such subjects: “General and Inorganic Chemistry (chemical profile for students); “General Chemistry” and “Chemistry” (for students of non-chemical profile). Every year at the department trained more than 1,000 students on full-time, part-time and distance learning, starting in 2011 at the Department prof. Ved M.V. teaches a course in general, inorganic and organic chemistry for foreign students. The educational process at the department is fully provided with instructional literature (textbooks and manuals) for practical, hands-on labs, and independent work of students in the Ukrainian language, prepared by the Department of forces. Teachers of the department carry out examinations on preparatory courses in special classes of chemical profile, spend rehearsal exams in chemistry for students of NTU “KPI”. The department also performed public work. Employees of the department annually participate in international scientific conferences and seminars.
Scientific directions
Prof. Bulavin V.I. is the leader of the initiative scientific works department staff: “The development of technologies for processing of industrial waste to produce end products”, by involving all the teachers of the department.
