Science Festival “International Day of Light”
On January 17, 2025, a Christmas and New Year meeting of the department’s students took place.
This was a great opportunity for the students of the department to get to know each other, the teachers, and the department itself. We would like to note that not all the students came to the celebration from the city of Kharkiv. Some came from the region, and some even from other cities. Such a desire only inspires us to hold such events more often. The program of the meeting included a tour of the Polytechnic Institute, especially the Chemistry Building, and the creation of an art object. On this day, the former laboratory stool became a work of art thanks to our talented students.
This is another event, full of positive emotions and high spirits, to our treasure trove of pleasant moments at the department.
At the end of December 2020, the defenses of master’s thesis projects took place. As the chairman of the State Examination Commission (SEC), the department traditionally invites leading specialists from the paint and varnish industry of Ukraine. For the third year in a row, the chairman of the SEC was a graduate of the department, Roman Volodymyrovych Khmizenko, head of the research department of Polisan LLC.
The head of the DEK always held interviews with graduates and junior students regarding employment prospects, current trends in paint technologies, and testing methods and certification of paint materials.
