Science

The Department of Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Paints and Coatings has a scientific school that conducts research in the field of paint and varnish technologies, the achievements of which are: – NATO Grant 1999, Institute for the Structure of Matter, Madrid, Spain. – NATO Grant 2001, National Technical University, Athens, Greece. – European Scientific Community Grant, 2003, German Polymer Institute, Darmstadt, Germany. – Research was carried out under the grants in the direction of “Kinetics of Formation and Properties of Polymer Networks of Paint and Varnish Coatings”. Currently, the activities of the scientific school under the leadership of Dr. Sci. Kramarenko V. Yu. are related to research in modern areas of paint and varnish technology development “Study of Properties of Coatings Based on Water-Dispersion Paint and Varnish Materials”. For many years, the problem laboratory has been implementing the state budget topic: “Development of physicochemical foundations for obtaining new polymer composite materials for special purposes”, the implementation of which is associated with the defense in 1997 of the candidate’s thesis by Neskorozhena G. D. on the topic: “Regularities of formation and properties of polymer networks based on modified oligoester maleates” and in 2008 of the doctoral thesis by Kramarenko V. Yu. on the topic: “Kinetics of formation and relaxation transitions in heterocyclic polymer networks”.
