Development of methods for complex diagnostics of the functional state of biological objects on the basis of multiparametric estimation of mobile IoT sensors with an adaptive structural organization

Co-organizers:

  • NTU “KhPI”

Brief description of the project(inventions):

This research is aimed at creating methods for processing multiparameter data, which is an array of time, geopolitical, functional and biometric labels derived from a set of active unitary DotSensor elementary sensors that have the ability to communicate over wireless communication channels. Within the framework of a single biological object, the sensors can be united in self-organizing and self-restoring mesh topology with relaying and message routing. Exchange of data received from the biological object is performed on the client-server architecture within the local network.

The project specification also includes the development of a hardware and software environment that includes remote online access for monitoring (and possibly drug exposure) of biological objects by authorized medical personnel both through stationary and mobile PCs based on Android and iOs.

Application area:

  • At the organization of systems of complex monitoring of the physiological state, during the treatment and rehabilitation of patients requiring control of both medical-biological and motor parameters.
  • Organizing a “mobile office”
  • Сreating clusters of receiving and processing biomedical data
  • When carrying out procedures for optimizing the protocols for the exchange of biomedical data with the aim of increasing their informativeness in conditions of limited bandwidth

Project status:

A basic framework for implementing methods for estimating multiparameter data has been developed.

Algorithms for processing biomedical data are proposed, which allow to minimize their volume for networks with limited bandwidth.

Elements of the software and hardware platform were created, namely: a prototype of a mobile sensor unit with exchange for WiFi protocol, a server for receiving sensor data.

Implementation period:

Expected results:

Using the proposed methods, implement an effective adaptive system for obtaining and processing multiparameter data to form a medical and biological profile of the patient, develop recommendations for treatment, prevention or rehabilitation and monitoring of these processes.
