International activity

The international activities of the Department of Philosophy are aimed at ensuring effective cooperation with educational institutions and scientists from various countries, studying the best international experience in research and teaching-methodological work, and adapting to European standards while preserving the best achievements of national education.

The strategy of NTU “KhPI” envisages the internationalization of activities, and the Department of Philosophy implements it based on bilateral agreements with the Lithuanian Sports University (Lithuania), Vytautas Magnus University (Lithuania), and Marijampolė College (Lithuania). An international internship project has been launched, providing for the exchange of postgraduate students and their internships. Thus, from April 1, 2024, by order of NTU “KhPI” № 619 ST dated March 26, 2024, Jolita Vveinhardt, Doctor of Social Sciences, Professor, Chief Researcher of the Transdisciplinary Institute of Social and Humanistic Research of Vytautas Kavolis at Vytautas Magnus University (Lithuania), was appointed as the second scientific supervisor for the department’s postgraduate students Horeva V., Zakharov Ye., and Koss A.

The Department of Philosophy fruitfully cooperates with representatives of China: citizens of the PRC are studying under the educational and scientific program for the preparation of Doctors of Philosophy “Philosophy”; Gu Yanwen, PhD., Prof., Director of the Department of International Exchange and Cooperation of Jiamusi University (PRC), is a stakeholder of the ESP “Philosophy.”

Also, teachers and PhD students of the Department of Philosophy participate in international events, in particular in conferences of the Lithuanian Sports University and Marijampolė College, and publish articles in foreign journals. Every year, the Department of Philosophy holds the international scientific and practical conference “Philosophy in the Modern World,” dedicated to World Philosophy Day, and an international scientific and methodological seminar, in which scientists from Ukraine and other countries participate: Lithuania, Latvia, China, Poland, Kazakhstan, and others.
